Boss 302 Vin 0001...... How lucky can one person be ?

How lucky can one person be when buying a car? Better yet how stupid can a salesman be ?

Imagine being in this situation and owning this......even if it is a Ford.

THATS BIG COMING FROM ME

Sad but cool this happened in DFW

The dealer seems to be clueless. I'd never be lucky enough for that to happen to me.

LOL, Why the hell would he point it out to them? I'd have shut the hood and streamlined the rest of the process. He took the chance of the saleman going in and asking questions that may have got someone over his head, not paying attention before, to realize what they had.

I saw my first Boss Mustang yesterday. We have one that looks exactly like that one. We now have a 2010 Camaro, 302 Boss, 2010 Challenger, and a 2011 Charger in our neighborhood.

You can enter a Mustang giveaway. Good cause and for two Boss 302's. A restored 69 and a Patriot Edition 2012.

I like.

Man, I just can't believe that the salesman didn't even realize it when he pointed it out to them.

That's exactly what I was thinking! He got really lucky and then dodged a big bullet all within a 24 hr period lol.

....what I find amazing and it's not just Ford dealers, it's a lot of dealers, most in fact...don't know very much about the products they sell.

I don't remember ever in my time of driving and buys cars (I'm 44!), when I've went to a lot and the dealership knew more than I did about the car I wanted.

Sad, their only job is selling this product and they have all day and night to research, get information, read up on, know inside and out their products...yet someone who works 60 hours a week doing something besides, selling cars...knows more!

How is this possible? How do sales people keep their jobs when the customer knows more about their products? I have never understood this!

Congrats to the guy who got that car...he deserved it since the dealership knew little if anything about what they had!

^^^ Yep, I've been to plenty of dealers that don't have a clue. The worst is when they say stuff that is completely untrue and expect you not to know enough to catch it. When I test drove the GT-R the guy kept telling me it was a turbocharged v8. . . really?
