Hi i have a 1992 RS with the 305. The engine is currently stock (straight pipe), but Im bolting on a BBK throttle and pulley kit within the next few weeks, and eventually a Holley intake manifold. I wanted to know if i could change the regular air filter snorkel thing (not good with names) with just a straight up air filter. Il post pics so you know what the hell im talking about haha thanks alot guys.

is that the type you were asking about. mine is a non drop base air cleaner. you will have to remove the spacer ring on top of the tbi. or get a drop base air cleaner and stick it on with the spacer. also watch for clearance on the coil wire and distributor.
