Reference on Strut Tower Braces

I am in the market on purchasing a strut tower brace for a 2012 Camro V6. I've looked over different websites. A few reviews I've read they have received their braces with scratches and/or without the hardware to install the braces.

Can anyone help me and guide me to the correct one for my V6 also which on has the best improvement on the handling. Thank you an advance.

To be honest, installing a STB isn't going to help a whole lot in the handling department. I've left mine off before, even on my Vert that has a factory one, and it didn't make a noticeable difference.

For a bit more money, you can have a ZL1 or 1LE front sway bar and end links installed. You can then corner about 2x as fast as you probably do now.

Or you will more likely increase understeer because you have stiffened the front suspension and done nothing with the rear. This will cause you do slide off a road and burst into a ball of flames.

Ok, maybe not, but if you try to corner 2x faster and all you have done is put a front sway bar on your car it will push more than it does stock. Your suspension is a balanced system. you cant change just one component and expect it to work as a system. Bad advice above!

BMR's STB017 is a good option.

Feel free to call, PM or email me anytime with questions.

I had no noticeable difference with my STB (Pfadt). I had no intention of getting one, but one popped up on Camaro5 for a good price so I jumped on it.

I don't have a STB on my 2011 SS. I've considered getting one because the ZL1, Z/28, and 1LE have factory STB's. They are all designed with handling in mind. The STB must have some influence on handling or GM wouldn't have it from the factory.

Bmr STB for V6. Can't say what it added as I had the whole BMR level 2 suspension package put on at the same time.

Here's the 1LE on my 2012 1LT. More for looks than handling.
