How the hek do you get the front license plate bracket off?

I just picked up a 2012 Cruze as my new daily driver. They put the damn front license plate on it and it has some funky bolts holding it on. Anyone know how to get this off? Oh, by the way this Cruze is a very Sweet ride. It's black on black with turbo 4 banger with manual mode shifting using the stick.

They used rivets on my Impala, for those you just drill off the heads and pull it off, the heads fall off the front and the rest can be pushed through the bumper. Not sure if they are all like that.

I'm not sure if it's rivets or not, it's got a hole in the middle, but your idea of using the drill will work. Thank you so much. You have solved my problem.

If they are made from aluminum and have a hole in the middle then you got pop rivets.
