He's a closet L99 guy. When me and him went to Tom Henry Racing, that night in th hotel he was sleeping and talking in his sleep.

Something about Tom being pissed if he were to cancel and get his true love, the L99 A6.

Yes I do- but something tells me the next vehicle will have to be a truck. Too bad GM doesn't make something like a Ford Raptor or Dodge Power Wagon.

I can barely handle the one Camaro I have. I can't imagine having two of them. It would be fun though. I could put a supercharger in one and a twin turbo kit in the other - the best of both worlds!

Becky, your cars look great!

Becky gets Pedderised at Rodgers Chevrolet

As soon as GMPP announced Pedders Coilovers would be added to their catalog Becky Doyle (Rodgers #1 Camaro Customer and Sales Professional) planned to make her personal Pace Car match the Pace cars that ran on track at Indy. We met at the Woodward cruise with her GM Joe Posby. It was agreed that Rodgers would become the 1st Chevrolet Pedders Suspension Specialist appointed and trained since the GMPP announcement.

I want to thank Joe, Becky, Jerry, Dave, John and Dan for their focus and hospitality. Rodgers is a dream come true for a Camaro owner -- a Chevrolet Dealership that understands the enthusiast and their desire for vehicle personalization.

Dave starts on the Pace Car by removing the wheels.

OE black is boring. This is a front strut.

It feels like a bad Henry Ford joke -- any color you want as long as it is black. This is the rear coilover.

We begin in the rear. A screw jack with a block of wood to avoid marking the differential housing is used to support the IRS. All four sub-frame bolts have been removed and the jack lowered. Dave is using a round tip in the air hammer to vibrate free the lower sub-frame covers. He is NOT chiseling them off. It is a lever motion and just a short burst to vibrate it free from the ferule.

The rear coilover is assembled with the through the OE spring perch adjuster being tightened in this shot. We always use LocTite to prevent the set screws from coming loose.

The assembled coilover is reinstalled.

This is a great shot of the rear locating post that passes through the rear large ferule in the sub-frame. The only possible motion in the sub-frame is in the sub-frame bushes. Once Pedders EP1200 inserts are installed there will be virtually no sub-frame movement. This allows the ZETA II state-of-the-art Chevrolet IRS to operate more efficiently.

The OE rear sway bar is modest in size compared to Pedders 27mm rear bar. The Pedders bar is also adjustable. The outer hole is the softest position while the inner hole is the firmest. Becky's Camaro gets the newest generation in Pedders USA endlinks. These are as efficient as spherical joints BUT without the noise of a spherical joint. The last thing anyone wants in their Camaro is suspension noise. The completed Pedders / Becky Pace Car suspension has no rattles, squeaks or groans.

John puts the finishing touches on the rear suspension.

These set crews are have LocTite applied. Mot noises that develop in suspension installations turn out to be bolts that have come just the slightest bit loose. It is amazing how much noise a less than tight to spec bolt and nut can make. Careful assembly to spec, quenched nuts, Nyloc nuts and LocTite are used to prevent problems before they start.

If you are an enthusiast, this is an EXCITING picture. You can see the rear Pedders coilover is adjustable by screwing the entire monotube assembly into and out of the lower mount. The lower spring perch is used ONLY to apply 5mm of pre-compression to the coil. The adjustable rear sway bar is set to full hard to help reduce understeer. The EP1200 sub-frame insert gives the IRS additional stability. The only thing better than the way this looks is driving it!

Look at the EP1200. You can see how robust it looks and know exactly what to expect from it. The OE Camaro ate up the Nürburgring. Becky's Pedderised Pace Car will be even better.

An OE Camaro is more car than most drivers are capable of using. Then there are drivers like me that need all the help they can get. In this photo you can see the rubber insert in the OE radius bush. A very bright engineer at GM asked Pedders to develop a urethane insert for possible use in SCCA racing. The idea was not pursued for the racing class, but....

Pedders did take the idea and turn it into a product. Pedders EP6579 insert take up space and fill the bracket that hold the radius arm in place. Brake pedal and steering feel are sharper.

Say good bye to OE boring black and hello to GMPP / Pedders RED!

Dave and John watch as I adjust the ride height on the front coilovers.

By measuring between the collars on the passenger side we know exactly where we want to set the coilover height on the driver's side.

Becky's Pace Car has a bunch of loose bolts in this picture INTENTIONALLY. The rotation rubber OE bushes must be timed to the new ride height to prevent premature bush era and allow operation of the vehicle without bush bind. This step is overlooked by many, but is a Mission Critical step at a Pedders Suspension Specialist shop. Dave will drive the car SLOWLY and GENTLY around the lot and then pull the Camaro onto the alignment rack where the bolts will be tightened to set the bush timing.

This is suspension pornography guaranteed to make any enthusiast with GMPP / Pedders sit in the corner and cry.

Radius bush insert. Adjustable front 27mm bar. Xa coilovers. Ultra performance endlinks -- we have to get this Pace Car on the road and put her through her paces.

I love to say Pedders USA isn't in the business of suspension. Pedders USA is in the business of manufacturing SEGs. We measure our success not buy on track performance or by sales. We measure it by SEGs. You can clearly see the size of the SEG we just delivered to Becky. Business is booming.

Even though the sun is on the backside of the cars you can see the difference between the SS and the GMPP / Pedderised Pace Car.

Wow!

WOw!

WOW!

WOW!

Height Matters.

Just Right!

The best picture of all. No matter how good the product, no matter how right the look, people are what matter most. If you are looking to buy a new Camaro I can't imagine a better person to deal with than Becky. She owns the automatic Pace Car behind us and a white SS stick. She is a car guy, but more importantly a Camaro guy. She is also the GMPP / Pedders Champion at Rodgers.

Awesome!

Where can I find out more info about this GMPP announcement? Will all dealerships be able to provide this service and is there a drop spring & sways option too?

Pedders Bits Available through GMPP

Xa and / or Supercar Coilovers
2004 -- 2006 Pontiac GTO
Pontiac G8 / GXP
Pontiac Solstice
Saturn Sky
2010 - Camaro

Sway Bars with Endlinks
2010 Camaro

We will be working with GM to expand the Pedders range with GMPP. All GM Dealers and Pedders Dealers have access to the Pedders GMPP parts. Some will take the time and investment to become Pedders Suspension Specialists as Rodgers did the other day.
