DAMN that engine got blown to the 9th level of hell! I can't believe someone would eff up that bad on a dyno!

Sadly, I'll admit I did too. I just couldn't figure out if they threw a rod, or, was it compression failure?

This has shown up on here before. People commented on the fat guy over the rearend and the shift light being on for a good while before the motor cooked.

Sucks for that owner.

He removed the limiter and spun the 5.4 to hard. He already had a MMR built/prepped shortblock waiting to go in. Supposed to be good to 2,000hp.

Yea he said the 800rwhp club was pretty expensive.

Car had a 2.8 Kenne Bell. Said he was running 24 pounds of boost and at 6500rpm #4 rod let go.

i cant see the vid at work.

rpm is the enemy of GT500's. thats a gt500 engine not a cobra. those heads have rectangular intake ports. thats an 5.4 NVH iron block.

everyone knows the rpm limits of the stock short block. i wonder why folks keep trying to rev it past 6100. the iron block has 1250hp limits anyway. the cylinders move around at that level.
