Think I am returning my Camaro

So I have the auto V6, its cool and all but I think the novelty has worn off. Its really just not that fun to drive after a few days. Its big and its heavy, not nimble at all. Its the same feeling I got from the Charger and Challenger, it just feels like I am driving a cheaper rental car version of my 2005 300C.

The dealer is trying to persuade me with one of the SS they just got in, but they want $43k for it. For that money, I can get into a nicer car. What happened to the bang for the buck the Camaro used to be? Also not happy with the performance times I got. 6.1 0-60 and 14.9 for the quarter. Those were the times I could get in my 98 Mustang GT with 75 less HP. Maybe I am just expecting too much from the entry level version. We'll see.

What in the world were you expecting?

Goodness, this really sounds rather fishy.

If you wanted all out performance, why did you buy a V-6 in the first place?

The numbers have been out there for all to see for many months now.

Personally, if this car was to be my daily driver, I would be tickled to death with the V-6. Enough performance, good fuel economy and nice looks. Nice balance for a commuter car if you ask me (which I know you didn't). But, I am throwing that out there.

I am not trying to be insulting. This just amazes me that you didn't know what you were getting up front.

Its not JUST the performance and I am sorry, but can YOU tell how big and cumbersome a car is going to feel driving it from looking at pics of it? You have some awfully special powers if you can.

First of all don't pay markup whatever you do, my 2SS/RS with sunroof was under 38k out the door with all taxes and fees. Second of all I wouldn't trade it for the world. I'm sure you had your reasons for getting a V6, personally I know I wouldn't like this car with a V6. Yes it is big and heavy but mine is plenty fast, but wouldn't be enough with just a V6. With that said the V6 is still great bang for your buck and you can mod it and make it faster. Also you compared to a mustang gt that was fords v8 and at least chevys heavier v6 is running the same times. If your not happy how long have you had it? Even if you had it since march when produciton started thats not a whole lot of time, but maybe you shouldn't of gotten one to start with. Good luck whatever you decide.

Your '98 Mustang GT had 290 ft lb of torque. The 2010 Camaro V6 has less then that and is heavier.

I hope you enjoy your's as much as we enjoy ours. We just went on an around Lake Michigan Drive last week and had a blast. Chek out the picture I took at the Berger Camaro and Chevy show I posted in my albums. More pics to come.
