Camshaft question
I have a 14 ls3 looking to do a cam swap. Its my daily driver and weekend racer and looking for a great cam for drivability, performance and i want a choppy cam. I understand about to get them to chop its about the lope separation. Anyone have any recommendations? I was looking into the nightfury and btr stage 3

Autocross? 1/4 mile? Mile? Road Racein? Are you ever stuck in for long periods in bumper to bumper traffic? All of these things and more, will dictate a proper spec'd cam choice to fit your needs. |

I'll tell you how the btr stage 3 is in less than a week. Definitely get headers before you do the cam to realize the gains.

Actually getting them to chop is not in the LSA but in the duration as there are plenty of cams with low lift and high LSA that do " CHOP" you should read up online about LSA as comp cam has a good read on it and how more or less affects top hp versus low end torgue ...driveability versus vacuum for brakes etc.....
There are a ton of cams out there, you need to know what you want really better than just the sound, as you could go mild and save yourself drivetrain attentiveness in the future swapping out springs repeatedly...... and still make lots xtra power compared to stock........ And what degree of a build in the future you see yourself going wether just a mild built to future higher compression etc....

Lethal Racing apparenty is going out of business, but it seems like BTR might have bought the rights to their nightfury cam, and is offering it for sale from their site http://www.briantooleyracing.com/let...-camshaft.html

I would take a custom Lunati or Cam Motion over a Comp Cam grind.

If it's a legitimate lethal racing cam, then it's a cam motion core, not comp cam

I'm new to the LS3, but had the Katech Torquer 110 in my last LS7 and loved it. Engine made 530 rwhp (yes, I know it's a higher hp motor to begin with), and was perfectly streetable with a HP Tuners work up. I see that Katech makes a Torquer for the LS3. If the profile is similar, I'll be giving it a look.
