Kind of a confusing time for counts- right on the cusp of 2010 and 2011

Actually the anticipation for a convertible and the Z-28 is probably hurting Camaro sales. Take the number of Mustang vert sales and divide it in half and give that to the Camaro, and divide the GT500 in half for the Z-28, and you will see next summers sales. (If the economy keeps gaining ground)

I really hope you enjoy rocking out in your future Mustang though. Maybe they'll even offer a HUD for 2012. I guess I'll be enjoying the usual compliments I get from bystanding strangers and family/friends who I give rides to in the meanwhile. |

all the interior "haters" are just on the same kick as the moronic journalists. if they were all creaming over it, so would all the peeps online, too. ignore them. its a great car in and out, and the accolades, sales, and apeshit-happy drivers like us are the proof. not that it even needs proving.

What this all means is that the new 5.0 excitement is gone. Good sales...yes....beating camaros in 2010 sales....not gonna happen
Doesn't take a mathmatician or number cruncher to figure it out. 6000 cars to make up in 5 months....at an advantage of "3" cars a month....not gonna do it. In fact, I'll be surprised if they beat the Camaro for more than 1 month the rest of the year.

Or performance, or resell value, or overall value, etc etc the list goes on.
Seems to be the numbers are all well above the competition. Very nice Chevy!

Two things I noticed:
-Camaro July 2010 production was only 4,900 units. That is half of what GM has been producing monthly in the past year. Is this an indication of a declining production future for the Camaro? -The one year trend of the Challenger has been increasing steadily. There were no sharp increases or decreases. Due to this, the Challenger looks the most promising out of all 3 cars....especially with the new engines next year. |

2. Challenger is like any other car. There's no comparison reviews that put it on top, there's no hype, nothing. Of course the rise wont be sharp. Everytime one of these companies wins an award or a review the numbers increase... when that changes, it goes down. Prices, and deals come into play as well. The Challenger is just there. It's making no impact on the car world. In 5 years we can look back and see how much of an impact it really had. But the re-birth of the Camaro is HUGE right now. Far more important than a Challenger.

I like the looks of the Challenger but for anyone stupid enough to believe them putting new engines is going to make them faster than Camaro or Mustang needs to have their heads examined...the cars are just too heavy and they are getting trounced in sales big time.

Its not like they produce 10,000 Challengers and only 3,000 and change sold. The R/T Auto's are already running within a tenth on average with the L99's and are only about 110 pounds heavier. Also..if you really think that 480 HP in the SRT8 isnt going to make it as fast if not faster than the SS..considering it only needed 440ish HP to "break even"..then you arent in a position to call anyone stupid. If it is anywhere between 450 and 500 HP..the SRT8 will be just as fast, if not a bit faster, than the SS. |
