Ran my car for the first time down the track.

Just finished a full day of arm drop dragracing at the abandoned picton airstrip. Beat the crap out of my car. I went 12 and 6 on the day
BEAT BY .....
2012 Shelby
1992 foxbody full race car...tubbed and caged
2011 mustang 5.0 4 times

Victories...
1970 Plymouth superbee 440.. I think I might have jumpd just a hair..but he told me great race ..so maybe not.
big block 1978 chevy pickup
Mitsubishi..unknown mods
2011 mustang gt 5.0....8 or 9 times..cant remember.

Traction was a bit of an issue for everyone..i have a little bit more respect for the import crowd..the fastest car there imo was early 2000 audi all wheel drive..word was it was 700 hp. No time slips...or speed postings..you win or lose. I find this type of racing is pure and simple..not over documented..just one result ..nothing else matters. Everyone spins..we were all in the same situation running our cars. I know a lot of racers like to have times for everything done on the track...for guys like me this was way to much fun for 1 day. The police did set up radar later in the day...I was clocked at 178kph...or 111mph. The serious full on race cars were to powerful for this track..they did get a lot of runs in. What a great time.

Here is my run against my buddies 2011 mustang 5.0...we ran 12 or 13 times....

If you get a chance... do it...I like how there is no time or speed posts....except for when the police showed up later wanting to test some new radar, its just as old school as you can get.

I found out early I was decent at reading the arm drop....even when I raced the mustang with the big tires and cage I left exactly with him....and he races his car on the 1/4 mile all the time. if you havnt tried it..just do it. Here is one race I managed to video...
