I am putting my 2 cents worth in. I work for a dealer that stays on top (or at least we try our best to) of the status codes and where our orders are. However GM does a poor job of communicating with us why we haven't even received our showroom model yet. We have had to purchase 2 Camaros (1 for our unveiling that sold that night and another for people to have one to see). To us it is ridiculous that we should even have to do that. We are still waiting for our first pre-order to show (it has been in-transit for over a month now) only to find out a few days ago that it got pulled for a quality control check and have no idea when it will be here. In addition to that we are still waiting for our showroom model to get here.

I guess what I am trying to say is we are as frustrated as the customer is and keep getting bad information or none at all as to where are Camaros are.

Weird... my dealer tells me everything so I don't have to call the GM Customer service.

I'm with irpq11... sounds fishy... bet it's in the showroom going to higher bidders....

Don't give up i just got back From the ford dealership to find this gt 500 everyone talks about. and when I saw all the mustangs In the parking lot, I thought to my self why not be different there are mustangs all over my town. the challenger is to expensive ,heavy, and a gas guzzler, the gt 500 is high dollar, i'm better off waiting for my Camaro!

Its stupid to cancel now imo. When they just ramped up prduction. What was it 2200 a week and to cleare out the 19k back order welll you do the math. 5-6 weeks maxx to wait?

What good is spitting them out at 2000 a week if they just go to area 51 and collect dust?

I ordered the first week possible back in October and still haven't even seen one in person. Dealer said it's built but doesn't know when it'll be here. I cross my fingers and sweet talk my truck at every red light hoping I don't break down again. It's been 7 months c'mon already!

Does it really matter what allotment number you are? Wouldn't it be more economical for dealers to get their whole shipments in one delivery?

NEVER??? Man are you going to miss out on some great cars.

Keep in mind, part of the problem GM is having is its dealers. But I also recognize that is all you know of GM is what your dealer does or doesn't do, tells you or doesn't tell you.

I hope you reconsider.

Maybe GM should allow direct order through them, maybe there would not be all these dealer issues GM can not do anything about?
