Hurst Shifter causing delays ?? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

My dealer called me and said that there is a delay on the hurst shifter and that if we still want it, that it will delay my car!! Has anyone else heard this?

I did a search, but didnt quite find this information... maybe I just didnt search enough..

Keep searching...it will delay your car...get rid of it, you can get it from your parts department.

The ONLY reason to leave it on (and delay your car) is if you're one of the nuts here (in a nice way) that absolutely have to have it on the window sticker for collector purposes.

last i remember reading on the hurst shifter thread, the part itself was discontinued, so you can't get it anymore anyways.

I don't mean to be a smart-ass, but can a part be discontinued if it was never available in the first place?

Long and short of it:

Last "we" knew it was delayed so they could add it as a factory option instead of only from the dealer. Until I hear different from CamaroScotty or Fbodfather, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
