I ordered the trailing arms and toe rods and the bushings from Apex yesterday. Can't wait until they arrive so that I can install them and track the car once again. I had a lot of wheel hop speed shifting from first to second gear at the track. I wonder how long it will be until I get them?

A good set of rear cradle bushings are definitely an important part of not only curing wheel hop but improving overall handling/performance.
It is definitely much more difficult to control the wheel hop on the 5th gen Camaros than it was on the 4th gen cars. The rear IRS in the new Camaros doesn't make it an easy task to control wheel hop especially for cars that equipped with a manual transmission and make quite a bit of power. |

Chase, are the outer trailing arm bushings your selling the new and improved ones? BMR made a change back in the Spring because of problems with the originals. Just checking for these guys!

We target a 45 day inventory so we don't typically have anything on the shelf for much longer than that. Anything from that far back is long gone.

I might add some tidbits for the 1LE which I suppose might also apply to the ZL1.
I am told the 1LE/ZL1 Toe Rods are good enough and not part of the wheel hop and sidestep problem. They do look a little flimsy to me though. On the 1LE by just doing the Trailing Arms and the outer TA bushing there is still a little hop but it is a bit more manageable. Side step under power is noticeably improved as well. So I suppose cradle bushings are next. This is not something I am comfortable doing in my garage, although it is an excellent excuse to buy a home garage lift. +1 on Apex Chase's warning about solid differential bushings. I did this on my '11 SS and loved the very planted feeling they gave, but was a little annoyed at the extra noise. I was warned however. So a good plan for a 1LE might be: Trailing Arm and outer TA bushings Solid Cradle Bushings Differential Bushing Inserts. (might as well do this since you are taking big stuff off anyway.)

All of the above. Rear cradle bushings would be the #1 thing right off the bat. Across the board bushings upgrades would be a very good idea for road course use.

How hard is removal of the cradle bushings? I was at a shop where a sledge hammer was being used on something...

There is a couple ways that we have seen people remove the factory rear cradle bushings. Many of our customers will use a sawzall/reciprocating saw and make two slice from the inner sleeve through the outer sleeve which releases the pressure on the bushings and you can hammer or press them out. I have also had customers use a small propane torch and heat the rear cradle where the cradle bushings are and it will loosen up the glue that help to hold those in and then they can be hammered or pressed out.
