Well it look's like the diff build is starting at a good time. On the 4th pass Pumpkin came out of the hole half sideways smoking only the passenger side tire. I'd say that's probably it for that posi unit.
Too bad the DA was 488' and dropping like a rock. Pumpkin ran a couple of 12:40's before I smoked the posi. Need that gear change badly. Looks like I'll have to wait till next spring to lower that 12:35.

Hey 12.40's are nothing to sneeze at. Yes, the posi upgrade is a must at this point. The last thing you want to do is launch into a wall... But you gotta know, anytime on the track is a good time. |

Yep it was a hand full until I gave it up. On the bright side I sent a couple of Stang's packing, they got a good look at Pumpkin's taillights.

Decided not to run the aluminum lug nuts due to lack of thread engagement. The Bogarts are so thick that I could only get 3/8" thread engagement. That's not enough for an aluminum lug nut.

Since I will not be doing the JRE posi mod and billet cap installation, it will be left to the experts at Bob's Driveline Service. I have posted the instructions for the guy's who might want to try it on there own.

DSS Comes Through Again
Sending off one of the stock yokes back to DSS for a sample to make a billet yoke. Pumpkin should be one of the first on the block to have one. Sure it will go good with this winters diff build. Pictured is the billet yoke from DSS for the GTO. A big Thanks to DSS.

The parts are cool, but heck man, you are taking home brew to a whole other level. That is some serious beer making equipment. Go Nut Brown Ale !!! Oh yeah and actually the parts are cool. Means you are going to have something better, stronger, faster soon... |
