I was wondering this too. Is there anyway you could take a picture from the driver seat towards the passenger side of the window (like if you were looking to your right as you are going around a corner)?

I have a V1 and Blendmount in everything but my Camaro,I mounted it beside the mirror.... The mirror is big and clunky and blocks enough,a new rear view is in my future...... BTW,Blendmount kicks a$$!

I Really need one of those before I loose my car. I never been hooked on anything like drugs or alcohol, but I have the need for speed when I get in my car. Already got 2 tickets in the last two weeks. Both were from taking off like bat out of hell. Good thing they saw me before I got out of second and third, or I would be without the car!
Can you all post up more links for the detector, and the parts, I have no problems with wireing or doing any work myself so it looks like an easy install. Especially with the easy to follow DIY!
Thanks,

I like this .. Also, wouldn't the Visor mount work as good?

Just thinking, there must be a reason you installed it this way..
Just curious..

Thanks // Chris

Mounted mine the same way there but I used a switch to control the power. I dont like how the V1 slides in the mounting plate when I try to touch it. This a nice switch on my overhead console does the trick. Nice write up.

I tapped into the fuse box, went up the pillar and across the headliner. It turns on and off with the ignition only:

nice write-up but i think with it in this location, it is taking up valuable window space to see through the windshield. i mounted my V1 on the passenger side above the mirror, out of the way and still visible through the front and back windows.

They are nice but they charge a fortune and the quality isn't that great. Mine are at www.stealthmirror.com and I've done Camaro mirrors too

there is a company that will take your stock rear view mirror and a V1 radar, and integrate the V1 radar stuff into the mirror. it's expensive, but stealth!

I am 99% certain you will not find anyone who puts the actual V1 in there, it is just the display. I have embedded displays for the V1, Escort 9500ci, Blinder and LaserPark Pro. Within about a week I'll also have gauges in the mirror

Thanks for all the comments! I'm glad I could help. I really can't say enough good things about the Blendmount. Great Product!!

I just took a road trip to Chattanooga this week and the V-1 worked flawless! It was picking up radars from way out, the arrows are the best. I am still ammazed at how well this detector works.

Well I've changed things a bit since I posted this DIY, here is my set up now.

I added an Anztek mirror with navgation and a rear view camera. Awesome upgrade and it helps the wife back into her spot at work during the week.
