I agree with the point that its easy to hide a car that is only for a show. It would be much harder to hide a car that's going into production, as is the case for the new Camaro, and apparently even the C8 Corvette.

That car may have never seen daylight, and the engine and such probably hasn't even been finalized yet.

The Ford GT will never sell and end like the old GT. I think GM is hiding the new Camaro in plain sight like Ford did with the new F150. The aluminum F150 looked so much like the old model, that no-one ever noticed the difference. GM may be doing the same thing.

I agree. Ford should kill that program. Ford should just be content with making a Shelby/GT500/GT350/Cobra/SVT whatever as their top tier sports car!!.. That's where their market is with sports cars and has been for the past 4-6 years.

Manufacturers are defiantly getting very good at keeping secrets.

And...The Ford GT concept is very cool! It's exactly in the style of today's Hypercars. It will be very expensive and "will" sell. The last gen is selling at 3 & 4 times original price. Obviously the mark has demand.

Kill the GT? Man, older ones are selling for a higher price than what they costed new, like some older Porsche and high end cars. They nailed it pretty good. I think Ford has to maintain that supercar...this one is gonna be freaking fast!

Regardless of how some here and on other boards feel about V6's, Ford will sell every single GT they build. At a rate probably just as fast as they can be built. The only thing that will limit sales will be when Ford decides to stop production...not the engine that moves it.

Yup. The GT is a niche market. But it is a STRONG market. Supply/Demand.

The 2005-06 GT captured the essence of the original GT40 and offered a level of power that was extreme for the time. This new concept does neither. Price vs performance will factor as retro GT40 style is not part of this formula

How many sold? How many in US vrs Europe? How many middle class kids had the poster on wall?

We don't even know if they will manufacture for sale a single one of this new version. It's a niche car for a niche market. Not even sure many Americans remember the LeMans and other gt exploits, Europeans maybe. Even ferarri and lambo have cars you can drive on street and actually park without opening the doors now.

Not sure how this thread got changed about GM keeping info locked down on the Camaro into a discussion about the Ford GT.
