It's going to be hard to give an accurate estimate for painting the bumper, since the rock chips shouldn't just be painted over. They'll need to be sanded out, or you'll have low spots. If any are deep, they'll require filler. This will run up the body shop labor. It shouldn't take more than 20 minutes to drop by any body shop and get a written estimate. If you're paying in cash, mention this to them and maybe they'll cut you a small $ break. I'm goiing to guess that you'll be out over $300 just for the painting.

Dangerss is correct for a starting point. Depending on how much repair needs to be done due to the chipping it will go higher. Cash can talk. One major item when refinishing a bumper cover, The shop MUST use the correct materials that allow the paint to flex when bumped. Otherwise it cracks and shatters due to being brittle. This process is also important to help withstand chipping. Be sure the shop is quality minded and offers a warranty.

I had a small scrape on my back bumper, about 3" long, the dealer wanted $600. The charge for materials was over $200. Had a bodyman freind of mine do it for $100 total.

I had a horrible scratch/gash in my front bumper (looked like the guy who owned it before shut the garage on it?), and my dealership fixed it for $196.50.

Probably helps that you don't have a metalic color because GM charges more for it. I was complete dumb ass a couple months back and hit the pole in my parking spot and had to get a new OEM bumper. Anyways, the paint as an item line cost about $400 dollars.
