I am just simply NOT a fan of convertibles in a big block sports car.

+ 253 lbs and .2 tenth slower in the 1/4 mile. Yet, they say it does everything better than the Coupe.

Top up = not a fan
Top down = looks pretty cool.

But I still can't get over + 253 lbs in a car that's already a little too heavy to start with.

I think this car looks great!! I have only seen the orange conv. in person and I have to say that car looks great in that color. I have been waiting for the conv. and couldn't take the wait so I got an ABM coupe, 2ssrs. I cannot wait to get my Anniv. conv!!!

I have a coupe and now I'll have the vert too ! I agree with the top up it is not as good looking as the coupe. But baby with the top down it is damn beautiful ! And that's why I bought it !

I can't fully agree with this review, as they're painting the vert to be better in EVERY WAY. I agree it looks great top down, but I'm still not in love with it top up. And the coupe's times are an obvious indication of the truth

However, I'm glad to see a positive review. Just wait till they pit it against the vert Stang, Chally, or whatever. Under the bus we'll go- Motor Trend flips on a dime. I can't even take their reviews halfway serious.

I know I'm bias like the deposit guy. But I love my coupe. A SSR style hard top would have been worth the... weight and wait. I woulda just put a blower on the ol' fat pig =-)

Now if you don't like convertibles and many on this site don't hestitate to claim so, then I can see why you would "take offense". If you even remotely enjoy convertible and I mean even remotely this is a good review.

But I am really puzzled. This is a variant of the Camaro thus it IS a Camaro. So when it gets a glowing review why would anyone jump on it? So it isn't a win/lose, it's more of a why on earth would you dissagree with a positive review of the car we all come on here to talk about.
It a glowing review only in the context of a crappy coupe review. But yes, for MotorTrend is wasn't a scathing review, so I guess that's a good thing. My only comment was comparing the couple with the vert with the top up. With the top down, I think it looks better than the coupe.

Just my opinion, but I've never cared for the appearance of any vert over a coupe in the same model. Just always looked bad to me, top up and down. I agree that if this had an SSR type roof it might at least look okay with the top up.

Did they really say, "It sounds better"? I laughed when I caught that watching the video the second time.

Then you should have no problem with the Camaro convertible

Kidding aside, this should help bolster sales for months to come

Just a drop dead gorgeous car
