CARS program; Manual only? Huh?

Hey guys I am new here and hope to get a Camero really soon.

My car just broke down and I have a second Chevy Suburban that I would like to get rid of. The car qualifies and everything but I have been doing some research and even here on this forums the people say only the base model Camero Automatic qualifies. Which I wish was because I don't know stick.

Well today I called my local dealer and they really didn't even know, they had to check. They told me only the Manual qualifies. Which if were true means I am not getting any Camero :(

I went online at www.chevrolet.com clicked on CARS program and selected everything and that as well is only telling me only the Manual. Here is link so you all can see it, just select 2010. http://www.gm.com/cash-for-clunkers/...lts_summersale

It only lets me select Manual and I really want Automatic since I can't drive stick. If anyone can help I would love it. Well thank you all for your time.

Negative. According to the official government site, ONLY the LS & LT AUTOMATICS qualify. They get the minimum 22 combined MPG. The manuals get 21.

So either GM screwed up THEIR site, or the .gov screwed up their site.

Go here, put your information in, print it, and take it to your dealer:

I entered a 2000 2WD Suburban and a 2010 Camaro V6 automatic. This combination qualifies for a $3500 rebate. YMMV.
