Cam Selection
I honestly don't know much about cams, so I figured I would ask which would be a better cam for boost (single turbo setup to be specific). The motor I'm getting comes with the Lingenfelter GT7 cam in it with the specs of 208/230, .554/.546 121 LSA. I've also got a blower cam from my old motor with the specs of 227/235 .640(intake gross valve lift)/.647(exhaust gross valve lift) 114 LSA.
I've listened to a few clips of the GT7 cam and it sounds like a stock cam to me. The blower cam had a nice choppy sound to it. I'd like to have that, but I'd be happy with the cam that makes more power. |
