It doesn't look that bad to me. Yeah, its not as good as no plate, but I don't think it looks ugly. Go look at a solstice with front plates. Now that is ugly.

Here's the thing, when I'm driving, I won't see much of my car. Other driver's won't see my front plate much when I'm driving either. It will be seen when its parked, thats about it. I'm not too worried about it. Besides, there isn't a whole lot I can do about it anyway.

It looks alright to me. I don't see anything particularly ugly about having a front plate.

EH; it'll look like the skin between my bung hole and yam bag. I hate the front plate, and hate California for making it a requirement.

Hopefully, someone will come up with something that can make it a little bearable, like SLP's bracket on the 4th Gen.

I'm sure the OEM one will look like crap though (no offense GM; I understand completely...)

After living in Arizona where they don't have front plates, I agree with Sam, I don't like them. My Cobalt was purchased in Arizona so it doesn't even have a front bracket and when I moved back here I never installed one. As long as you are not doing anything stupid the cops won't bother you for not having one. Of course if it was Tag, he would just use it as an excuse to look at closer at your ride.

It just occurred to me that I won't have to have a front plate when I move back to North Carolina this year.

I (not too) recently a Kappa (Sky or Sol, I don't recall) who's owner had gotten creative instead of using the factory front plate mount.

Here in WA you own your plates and do not have to display tabs on the front anymore, so he cut off the top and bottom of the plate and somehow contrived a pretty flush mount off to one side of the pointy bumper. It didn't didn't extend above or below the bumper and didn't effect the lines of the car.

I only got a quick look at a stop light and it was at least 6 months ago so I could have some details wrong, but I think I will try to do the same with my Camaro if the bumper doesn't change from the spy shots.
