Moving to FL - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

It looks like I am might be getting relocated from CT to FL. I am really happy about the move but I have a few concerns, none of which is missing snow. My question is about schools for my kids. My relocation will move me to West Palm so I'd like to find a place within a 45 minute drive. If any of you guys are around that area and have kids do you have any recommendations? My daughter (9) is in the 4th grade and is a smarty pants but my boy (6) is on the autistic spectrum. I really got to find a good school for him. I've seen a bunch online but I would feel more comfortable with a parents perspective. I plan to take a few more trips out to FL before making anything final.

I got transferred to Bonita Springs Fl back in December. I am on the west coast so no help on schools. Lots of camaro activity east and west coast. Good Luck!

Subscribed as I am looking for good locations recommendations (within an hour drive to work - which includes Palm Beach area) around the St. Lucie nuclear power station. I would rather be south of the plant more toward the Ft. Lauderdale side.

What part of West palm? Some areas like everywhere you'll ever go are really bad then you have the good areas, Loxahatchee is pretty nice I'm unsure of schools because I use to work in that area but live in Miami Lakes

I don't have kids so I can't give any particular recommendations, but as far as the area goes, try to stay Palm Beach Gardens or north (preferably north of Northlake Blvd). I live in PBG, and work in Jupiter. Its a nice area.

Google it, best schools and lowest crime.

Depends, are you looking for public or private schools? There are several A rated public schools in the Jupiter area. As well as some high end private schools. Also what area are you looking to move in to?
PW should also be able to provide you with a list of schools and their ratings.

Yes Weston is nice, but that's a 80 mile 1.5 hour drive to work. I used to live in Plantation and commuted to Jupiter. Not a bad drive, just long.

Matt, we're looking for public schools first then see what's forsale for houses. Looks like a ton of houses everywhere. I would like to keep my drive within 45 minutes.

PW would be close to the border of Palm Beach and Martin Counties. In Palm Beach County property taxes are higher, Martin County appreciably lower. Whether you end up in PB or MC will determine your school choices.
For grade school, look at Limestone Creek in Jupiter.
