so ive decided.....im keeping the batmobile

back story cliff notes: found out 5 months ago that my wife and i are going to have a boy in dec. i got the camaro in feburary thinking that we wont have a kid for another 5 years or so and by that time ill have a SUV or what not by then.....yeah right.

well the past month and a half ive been debating whether or not to trade her in for something famliy-ish.

wife tells me last night....keep the car, i think youre going to feel better once you hear your son tell his friends "my daddy has a cool car"

shes right.

thanks for reading.

First kid? Congrats!

Yep, with only one kid, the Camaro is still OK. Certainly easier to get car seats in & out of a 4 door, but you can still make it work fine in the Camaro.

My dad bought a new '64 Catalina 2+2 with 389 & 4 on the floor shortly before him & mom got married. He sold it when I was about 4. Still have a few memories of it and I wish he hadn't sold it. I remember him lamenting that he sold it many times too.

BTW, I have 4 kids (ages between 8 & 15) and the Camaro still works for us. Of course, we do have an extended Trailblazer too.

Is that the only car you have? It's going to be a pain in the butt to get your kid in and out when the baby seat has to be rear facing. I know they have the removable seat, but for me, i had to replace that with a bigger car seat when she got a little bigger and they didn't have a removable one in a big enough size. Good luck, and congrats!
