Got an e-mail from the owner today. He was very sad to hear about my car and promised they would do what it takes to make it right. I tried to swing a Camaro to drive in the meantime, but no such luck lol. Stingray would have been cool too Anyway, here's to hoping they can fix her up right this time...

Hey, just a thought....do you have the VIN of your Dad's old Camaro? I have some hookups here where I am and may be able to find it for you!

Thanks Misfit! I'll try and look through my dad's stuff and see what I can find : D
And quick update: Mina goes back to the dealership Monday to right the wrongs. Needless to say I'll be taking a very serious photo inventory this time to keep them honest. Thanks again for the offer Misfit!

Gotta share my love with two women now ;)
So my car is still in the shop, but no biggie--they gave me a decked out Tahoe to drive in the meantime
But more importantly, this past weekend I got to pop the question to my fiancé Sammi Here's a link to my proposal! Hope everyone is having a Merry Christmas!

Sooo...am I too picky?
I went to pick my car up today, and lo and behold, it still has trash and grit in the paint. The shop manager was pissed because he personally went out of his way and used his own money to set some things right. But as I took a closer look at my car, I could see several imperfections that absolutely burned me.
Their paint guy came out and copped and attitude with me, so I'm trying my best to keep my rage under control. So I have to ask, has anyone gotten their paint back WITHOUT the kind of stuff seen here? Or is it just because I detail that I notice this stuff? I mean this is twice now that this has happened. Do paint shops in general just suck or is it impossible to replicate a good paint job? Please weigh in because I have no bearings right now :(

So I was going to learn how to wet sand and just fix it all myself...then I noticed two things today.
A) One of my fog light bezels was missing. At first I thought the idiots painted it, but then I realized that nope, they just didn't replace it...or worse they replaced it without care and it flew off in traffic and B) My Imperial Blue Metallic ghosted sidemarker on the rear passenger side now has a broken tab and it pops out and flies in the wind when I'm driving on the highway. So I'm sure it'll follow the fog light bezel and fly off in traffic soon too. This also has to be due to the body shop's careless installation. So yeah, I'm over being spit on by Jerry Hamm. I'm meeting with legal representation and taking this to a whole new level. Moral of the story: If you live in Jacksonville, DO NOT take your Camaro to Jerry Hamm Chevrolet. You won't get it back anywhere close to an acceptable condition. Even bigger lesson: ONLY take your car to a shop that can prove to you flawless work. The two shops I've been through were mass volume shops with guys who don't care about details. You want it done right? Find a proper shop in your area that can prove to you their work. Because of that, I do not recommend any Chevrolet dealership or any dealership in general. Learn from my mistakes. Ugh.

Hey everyone!
I haven't posted in forever, (my fault) so here's a quick update... My fiancé and I are getting married March 15th, 2015 We moved out to Jacksonville Beach and live a couple blocks from the ocean I bought a motorcycle to save on gas/be awesome in general I was promoted to Dean at my school I have some awesome pictures of Mina, my fiancé Sammi, and I for our engagement And now the bad news :( I'm selling Mina. I love her to death, but I need something I can haul stuff around town in and won't annoy my neighbors when I crank it up in the morning I want to thank the C5 community for all of your advice over the last three years and I wish everyone the best of luck with their mod addictions Just wish I had gotten COTW once lol just kidding....kinda
