Ok, first.......... Out with the old, and in with the new and improved.

Here you can see the only difference in the new LCAs is the hole for the new links made possible by just narrowing the cross member.

So on to my redneck bushing insert ..... thingys........ for takin up space....

Here you can see that the Pfadt bracket and bushings are not gonna play together well with the Pedders bar.

I love Pete's approach in using stock parts as much as possible. It assures you always have what you need. I tossed my brackets a while back. And now switching is a pain.

So I'm getting brackets asap, BUT, I have to drive my car to Baton Rouge tomorrow..... well, today actually...... and have to have the car aligned first thing. Not gonna have time to get the brackets. So I made my .....

I know I shouldn't say anything,
why do I keep doing this?

Of course the Peddes are in red.

Ok. So I now had to solve the problem of how to keep the bar centered the best it can since the narrower bushings were going to allow the bar to slide. Don't really want the bar to slide too much because it binds one end link when it does. I checked to make sure that even if it did the bar would not hit my canister on my coil overs.

So I put another ring of tape on the bar and cut the roll of tape in half down the middle and thickened up the sides by the flanges to the top to stop most movement.

*again ........ just for a day*

Not bad, but it would have been better had you used the 200 MPH Racer's Tape.

Or you could have stayed in character and used the Real Red Neck tape.

There is a reason we use the OEM strap. The formed shape is very strong. The strap is very wide. Wide and strong deliver stability and strength. Compared to the skinny aftermarket strap it is a no brainer. Take a look at the OE rubber bush compared to the Pedders bush. It would appear that the Pedders bush is way to wide and will hand out of the strap.

Now look at the bush and strap. It is a PERFECT fit, better than the OE bush and strap.

Looking at this picture I see a well worn rubber bush that is thinner than the OE bush and a strap that offers less support than the OE strap.

If I may add a little something here. These straps are also able to move up and down due to elongated holes. Why "that" company did that is beyond me and was my biggest problem with my front and rear bars from "that" company. I'd pop the hood and the bar was crooked as the bracket had slipped. Same in the rear. Seems like a parts bin "one size fits all" type deal. I'm not bashing "that" company, I just know it was an issue for me. .....and it became a noisy one for me.

These can't slip.

I will say this............ my faint clunk on hard crisp bumps is gone.

I'll pick up some OEM brackets on Monday. Gotta hit the road here in about a half hour.

I remember that clunk as well. A very very distant memory now.

Here is the before and after alignment.

The first is before. Funny how they always find shit out of alignment that shouldn't be.

Either way, he said it was the best they could get on the rear. Seems to actually have gotten worse after his attempt. lmao

Hmmm, wonder why they can't get the camber on the left rear to mirror the right? Are you measuring the same ride height side to side in the rear? Fender to lower lip of the wheel measured?

Didn't measure since my last coilover install.

I tightened all the LCA bolts with the car on the ground. Could that be the problem?

Do you have Pedders rear camber bolts installed?

back atcha

I wouldn't think so as they have to loosen the inner to adjust camber. Then the toe rod to adjust that.

To me, and I have absolutey 0 qualifications, it looks like they only adjusted your toe all the way around and didn't even adjust the camber. The big change in your toe angle on the left rear affected your camber. I say that because it was such a minor adjustment to the right rear it didn't affect your camber at all.

If you are lowered it is hard to get the camber you want out of the rear. The tow and camber work against each other. I have seen more than one tech fail to get good camber adjustment. When I tell them to reset the toe eccentrics to a neutral position I get the I know what I am doing shut the buck up look. Then I get the oh shikies look when it works.
