when spending 37K or so on a car and given a choice between new and used and the difference was 2K there is no question I would order exactly what I want and pay the 2K extra. Factor in financing, winter and other area considerations it's not surprising you would have trouble with that price. Maybe if you were out here in LA and people simply didn't want to wait 2 months for a new one and can drive it year round and yellow may be more popular out here you MIGHT get what you are asking.

There are many out there that have never heard of CAMARO5 and are paying 5 or more over MSRP. That puts this car $7000 below that. We have used dealers here selling used 2010 for 12 or more over our MSRP which is 15 % over the USA.
Sell the car to Canada. There are dealers here that will be lucky to get 1 car this year.

LOL... a USED car that won't sell for $2k under sticker and you think resale prices are "in the toilet"???
Drive it around a little more and you might find what you need... Sorry to be brutal...

That information would be from my mother who worked as an accountant at a variety of dealers (none of which were Chevy though...). Maybe it only applies to Fords since you'll spend 30% of the sticker just to keep it running. Quote:
Man, I better go pick that up right now!

Sometimes you can make money buying cars and trucks at the right time. On Dec 26th of last year, I bought my Chevy Pickup with the $8000 rebate. Last week I sold it to the local dealer for $500 more than I bought it for(counting taxes and all). That was still $2000 less than what KBB said the trade in value was. I had it on Auto Trader for a month and no individuals wanted to buy it. Believe it or not, the dealer offered the most for it. Now I'm ready for my camaro!
