My best was a 1.90. Not very good for a drag radial. I couldn't figure it out. I messed with tire pressures dropping from 32 to 25 to 22.5 and didn't make much difference. Most were around 2.1, I got the same times with stock power and street tires. Tried several different ways of heating them up from boiling them to a quick burnout. When I'd launch the car tried several different launch rpm's from easing off the line to 4000 rpm. I'll try again next Friday.

i drop my tires to 17.5 for the first run and burnout. they heat up 5-9 lbs. after a good burnout. stage 1400, feather to full throttle by the top of first gear. if you care...

I'll give it a try. My cars a 6M. 1400 seems a little low to launch,no. I talked to a couple of guys and they told me to do a dry burnout and avoid the water box. They're guessing the water is spraying into my wheel wells and dripping onto my tires when I stage. I'll drop my tires down more next time

Were you allowed to run faster than a 11.50 without a bar in MH?

The short answer is yes. It was confusing on my first 2 to 3 runs, but in the end they let me run faster than 11.50 without a bar.

I don't think I signed up for the street car points series. But stranger things have happened.

This was an idea we implemented this season to get some more of the street guys to the track.
No membership required. If you plan to attend most or all of the Friday night races it would be fun. Regular bracket setup and points awarded for rounds won. When you lose you can go back and race your buddies and make as many passes as you like. End of the season the points winner takes home a thousand bucks, three hundred for second place and two hundred for third place. It should be noted that you dont have to sign up if you just want to make passes for fun. This is just a little something extra for those who chose to participate. Bryan

Hey Bryan when your talking to the people at the gate maybe they should mention it. I knew about it but pretty sure I didn't sign up for anything as I didn't know I had to. Gate was a little messy when I showed up Friday night took an hour to get through as spectators were coming through the wrong gate. Oh and thanks for the tires they hooked up great!!!!
excuse the video quality |
