Has anyone seen the Red Jewel Tintcoat (RJT) in person? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I ordered the Red Jewel Tintcoat and am getting a bit nervous since seeing pix of them on this forum. The the color tint of the front bumper facia doesn't seem to match the rest of the body panels in the pictures.
I'm not sure if cameras are picking up something that is not noticeable to the human eye in person, or did the front bumper supplier not get the tint correct?
Has anybody seen it in person and can comment?

I haven't seen it on a camaro, but did see it on a Malibu at the local dealer. I didn't notice any mismatch in the painted surfaces.

Ive seen in person and its the only 5th gen i've seen so far and it looks really good....personally not my favorite color because my current car I hate is that color but I didnt notice any mis match paint. It also had the rally black so it was looking good. The guy who ordered it requested that no one touch it and had caution tape all around it.

Yep I saw and enjoyed the RJT 2SS at my dealer about a month ago. It looked great. No issue with paint match at plastic to metal unions. I think what you saw in some pics was lighting or angles as I was looking specifically for this issue. Mine is a IBM and I had the same concern.

I saw it in person and you won't be disappointed. Looks great

It is a truly great color. The pictures posted by ArcAngle are great and don't do it justice. Find that post and that may help.

And don't judge color mismatch on all the photos of CTF cars.

I think TRAN posted some photos a few days ago of an RJT car and there is no mismatch that I can see.

If you are worried about a color mismatch then go look at some of the pre-pro IOM pictures, then go look at the pictures of the production IOM cars that shut down the main freeways in the Dallas / Fort Worth area last week. Your RJT is an awesome color and should have the same quality. Absolutely beautiful job GM!!!!

I've seen that color in person (and took photos of it posted in the RJT color thread in the photos section) and there were no mis-matched body parts.
The color looks fantastic in real life.

If I were getting a Camaro right now, it would be in that color.

This color looks awesome in bright sunlight. Ditto with white or CG stripes. However, it darkens quite a bit in dim lighting as all the metallic colors do.

I have a 2008 Cobalt in Red Sport Tintcoat. I believe these are the same colors. Mine was also a 300.00 up-charge. Looks great in sunlight, darkens quite a bit with overcast skies.

Yes, it' a great color. you might be noticing the difference in light reflection between the side curves of the car and the drastic angle difference of the front facia just in front of the hood, it angles down more steeply, therefore the lighting will make it appear to be more bright.

When I saw it, I saw no difference in the color blend.
