Zl1 bumper paint or wrap?
Like the title says I am debating if I should either wrap or paint my used zl1 bumper. It has not been painted at all before. I want to wrap it because I know it will be cheaper but I don't know if the glossy black will match the OEM black paint. I know it would probably be better if I paint it but i was just wondering what you guys think. Do you think I could just pull it off with just the wrap?

If it is in primer, you will want to paint it. Wrap is designed to adhere to factory paint.

Paint it, you will be happier and you will not regret it. If you wrap it you may not be happy with it and end up getting it painted anyway, so therefore wasting more money than needed.

Alright the guys paint it is. But just a quick question do you know where I can get the same black paint on the car other than going to GM to buy it? And how much paint do you think I would need to buy to paint the bumper.( not including the lower grille and bezels)

Its probally cheaper to bring it to an autobody shop to get painted. By the time you get done preping it and buying the primer, paint and flex additive you could be over $500. Plus a good air gun sprayer and compressor....
check around your area with shops and get a few prices. plus its better if you have any other pieces you want painted to get it done at the same time.. |
