To those who have widened their factory rims

I am looking at having my factory rear rims widened and wanted to hear from those which did this of any problems or regrets doing this prior to myself moving on this process, tkx.

I had factory rears widened to 10.5". No need to run spacers like this. I can see where the tire slightly rubbed the plastic liner during an autocross event. Probably wouldn't have if I had aired the tires up more. I could also add a small spacer to move them out a bit if I wanted.

I run Nitto Invo 315/35/20 on one set and 305/35/20 MT ET Street drag radials on another set. The Nittos run a little narrow compared to others, so both sets of tires look about the same width. There's pics in this thread with the Invos.

I'm running the same street setup as yotaman, only with 20mm Eibach adapters to move the wheel out a little. The adapter is not necessary. I just like the way it looks.

Like yotaman, I have an extra set of widened stockers for the track, but I'm running 315 Nitto NT05Rs on them.

Wonder if you could answer a question for me?? Your NT05R's, do your rims stick out of the tire or are the recessed back into the tire?? Hate to ask but would you happen to have a picture of that rim and tire combo?? Ty.
