I did some research and was told it seems to be the consensus that more than 1" and you are asking for clearance problems. I now have to slow down and angle on driveways with deep aprons that I did not before to save the splitter. It's not a problem.

The sealed package in the picture are the bushings for the front radius arms. Next, the bushings on the far right in the picture are for the front portion of the rear subframe, the bushings above the radius arm package are the rear bushings. There are six total you can replace on the rear subframe. I replaced the main four that connect the subframe to the car. Huge difference in the feel of the rear end now! |

I thought the same until Pete corrected me in a PM I had sent him before the install. Pete stated they are re-used. I did not need use new ride height arms. PFADT is the same.

I'd love to lower mine, but have I have a rolled curb apron at the end of my driveway. I purchased a Bridjit curb ramp and still barely miss scrapping the bottom of the splitter when I leave and enter the driveway. No way could I lower an inch and not have some major clearance issues with my drive.

Really? I guess my proto type kit is different than what he offers. Looks like my setup is different than yours.

Thank you. It was Haddad Motorsports. They did 3 other ZL1's prior to adding mine in the mix. Oh by the way, when are we going to meet up? Last edited by ZL1-V; 05-25-2013 at 02:37 PM. |

PM from Pete regarding the rods! "You don't discard the rods. You'll re-use them. Foundational bushes are covered. Lowering covered. Did we upgrade to Pedders 27/32 Z bars"? |

Love the looks of your car man. Even more interested in the set up now that I hear that it improves handling. Only question for me is who is capable of doing the install in the Boston area. Wonder if Janetty in CT does this. Anyone know?

Which lowering Kit
I am looking at lowering my ZL1 1 inch.
Need help in figuring out which would be better. Pedders, Eibach, Pfasdt, or MSR. Will be on the ring maybe one time, 1/4 mile one time and then mostly highway and cruises. High speeds on the Germany Autobahn until I return to the states. Which one will give the same or better handling without having a real harsh ride. I know I can't have one with out the other. Thank you for your assistance. Jim
