Temp is -23* and –48* wind chill. Friend on Facebook from Virginia Beach shows herself visiting home on the beach in the Philippines.

Crap! I shouldn't have wished so hard for it to snow! We only got a few light flurries & roads are not bad. Now I have to get out in this bitter cold and go to work. No clients will show up in this crap so it is really stupid. Oh, well, what can you do. Mother nature has a mind of her own. Stay safe everyone.

Ha, Snow day anyway! Even under the carport, Pepper is frozen solid. I could not get into the car. How do you folks up north cope? BTW Many of my clients have to take the bus & I really don't think it is such a good idea to try to walk to a bus stop then wait for the bus in sub zero wind chills on icy slick sidewalks with behaviorally/emotionally disturbed preschoolers. Gotta keep calling clients to reschedule. Later crew.

stayed at the cottage last night,was going to do the 2 hr drive to work but decided it was a snow day. so took tractor out and did the private road which is 1.75 mile long and 3 driveways. 4 & 1/2 hrs . the snow was overt the top of my 3 ft blower. of course we are at far end of road i called into work to say i was snowed in , they called while i was doing the road to see when i was going to be in. my response was see you tomorrow if it lets up.funny thing if your one who does not take alot of time off they are surprised that you are not coming into work . now we are expecting more snow reported blizzard like conditions for next 36 hrs maybe another snow day! and thank god i have an enclosed 4 wheel drive tractor that can handle all the snow stay warm and safe everyone!

So I think we need a picture of the tractor! Roads are not wet or slick here.......yet.....but unseasonably cold.

The National Weather service issued the first blizzard warning here in 20 years in effect till 6 am tomorrow. I encountered some whiteout conditions on my way home from work. The lake effect bands are hard to predict the local news said my town will be in the bullseye tonight 3+ inches per hour could be up to 3 feet on the ground. We will see in the morning if it happens. Anything more than 18" and I may take the day off tomorrow or see if they will let me work from home.
