Neither of those are the Z/28. Putting a supercharger on the Z/28 is trying to make it something it isn't.

Hobbs, isn't the supercharged 6.2 the "LSA" that's in the ZL-1? I thought the LS9 was the s/c version on the LS7....

...No biggie....you're probably right...lol....

As I asked in a post to the previous Callaway Z/28 thread many weeks ago:

Does Callaway specifically warranty during track use?
Does Callaway guarantee full power and no heat soak during track use?
How much weight does it add?

No one ever answered...

Sometimes what isn't said tells me a lot. I'm interested in reality, not marketing.

Not surprised.

I'm more of a fan of factory forced induction rather than aftermarket, but even companies like BMW haven't produced FI motors that resist heat soak on track, especially here in the hot TX summers.

LS9 is a 6.2 not 7.0

LS9 and LSA are similar but the LS9 has the 2300 blower not 1900. It also has more forged internals, dry sump and some other things.

The LS9 and LSA are both 6.2 liter engines. The LS9 has a bigger intercooler and blower.

Ditto. I've seen plenty of high-end N/A cars that go into limp-home or power-reduced mode on the track. Sometimes it doesn't even take TX heat to make this happen. This makes me extremely reluctant to consider F/I engines, as this makes it much harder to bulletproof the car for track usage...

Yes you are correct, a LS7 is 427. A. LS9 is not a 427
Do what ever you want, but when it comes time to sell stock will sell better.

Callaway Cars does not actively participate in the C5 Site, so there are limits to what can be said or answered in posts.

Anyways, from post #45:

You could direct an email to info@callawaycars.com for specifics.

However, I know and have attended HPDE/track days at Lime Rock, etc., where owners have brought their Callaway Corvettes and Callaway Camaros and run them throughout the day. They still had a warranty, afterwards.
I hope this helps

I'd argue a Z06 is like the Z/28's Daddy... What was the mission of the C6 Z06? What is the purpose of the Z28 in its market segment? See the relation?

And the C6 Z06 had what? A naturally aspirated engine.

Yeah, we'll see the death of n/a motors in performance cars down the road. It is happening now, with worldwide emissions tightening. For example, both Porsche and Ferrari are migrating to forced induction for their next generations. Sucks.
The LT1 is about half step behind the LS7 stock and now that the aftermarket has got their hands on it - we are seeing similar power for the same modifications.

I also believe there will be a ZR1 but in what form? Some speculate that it could be twin turbos. But honestly if the Z/28 is a wild success I wouldnt be surprised to see it be a hard core track option like the Z/28 but with 100k+ price tag.

The new Z06 is kind of a melting pot for the 427, GS, ZR1, and Z06. Targa top, automatic, carbon ceramic brakes, and the baddest motor GM has ever put in a car. WITH AC and cruise and heated seats and nav etc.

Then again, lap times in the Z06 have been faster than the ZR1 according to GM. Maybe the new Z will have a better intercooler to help

Yes, which responded very well to supercharging
