Just get you a CAI and if you have to have warranty work done put the old OEM CAI back on! They'll never know!

Adding a CAI does NOT void your warranty. Do some research and learn your rights. There are countless threads here... In a nutshell, the dealer can deny your warranty claim if they can show that your aftermarket part actually caused the problem.... Take a look at a few of the motors that were rebuilt/replaced even though the owners had aftermarket parts...

BTW, i don't believe the GMPP CAI ever became available did it? Also, i think it was a just a fancy cover, with no real performance value...

The GMPP CAI has never been released. When I first got my car in June of 2009 I ordered and paid for it and the GMPP Exhaust (with Tips). The Exhuast came in and was on the car in three days and the CAI never showed up, I kept asking in various places and finally asked for my money back, Feb 2010 and it was refunded. During that time I did research on ALL of the CAIs out there and decided to get rhe Roto-Fab CAI. I have ne regrets and LOVE the results. Take a look at my mode list, the only thing not on the list is the New Vert Spoiler that I swapped out with the orginal one.

I guess another alternative would be just buy a K&N drop in filter! Maybe your dad would approve that!

You need to find another dealership, those guys are either crooks or idiots, or both.

That will not void the warranty! Don't want get you in trouble but I would do it and tell him it's just a filter that last a million miles!
