29 degrees in California

This is about as cold as it gets in NorCal. I had to drive to work at this temp yesterday. Slowly. The car isn't to be moved sub 20 degrees from what I've read at the top of the 1LE forum.

Anyone else daily driving in these conditions?

20 Degree weather can crack the tires. I think the booklet states to let the tires warm up to 40 degrees. My stock wheels are in a warm place while I have on all weather tires/SS rims.
Not sure if it is a perfect science. Let us know how it goes.

Dang...I wonder if putting a car cover over night would help? It got down to 32 degrees where I live today in morning. Luckily I park my car in garage, best of luck man!

I have drove mine as low as 32* so far. No big issues, just have to take it easy.

I picked my ZL1 up Thursday in Idaho. Was 17 degrees when I started the drive, and it didn't get into the twentys until I hit Nevada. No tire cracking. After the tires warmed up a bit it was not scary.

It's 27 in Roseville now with the high of 50.

I am in South OC...had frost on the hood, top, and rear decklid...just pulling fwd out of my space I could feel the rear tires spin...was actually quite humorous...actually used the seat warmers...never owned a car with them prior to this...

We had a nice 39 here in SOCAL. Luckily my car is garaged each night but I still drive it easy so the tires can at least build up a little heat. I haven't noticed any cracks or otherwise negative effects.

This ain't a gm/chevy/camaro/1le thing. It's a summer tire issue.

Do summer tires loose performance in cold temps....yes
Could they potentially crack.....yes
Have thousands of people driven year round for years with no issues on summer tires....yes

I've driven at 28 degrees thus far. The issue for these isn't the tires being in 20 degree wether, it's when the temp of the actual tire is 20 degrees.

This is -5 degrees and the white one was just moved around the lot as they did snow removal. No tires cracked but i wouldn't recommend driving it around much more then that.

I live in western CT. I bought my 1LE in early november. I've driven it through heavy rain and even ran into some black ice recently. I parked it for the 4 inches of snow we got today. Our weather here has been in the mid 30s to mid 40s. So far no issues, but I keep that tire warning in the back of my mind. Just becareful(everyone at the dealer tells me this)

Next year im switching to Michelin tires to get some peace of mind back

it hasn't hit freezing in Phoenix... yet...might not this year... I do garage my car at night. The tires seems to have a little less grip until they warm up in the morning tho, but I have not yet seen any cracking on the wheels yet.
