Congrats on the upgrade! I don't necessarily agree with the whole "only buy a v6 if it's 'just a point A to point B car to you'" part, as I'm one of the biggest Camaro enthusiasts around and am quite satisfied with my v6, but to each their own.

Looks great!

Seems everyone is making the switch nowadays. At the deal you got it for you would've been crazy to turn it down. If I found one at the right price I would probably consider as well.

You are telling me it feels good to make my modern car feel like part of my fleet of cars that i already own. It fits in alot better.

I would say that is probably it. I live close enough to work I can walk. but when I do leave town I have maybe 3 miles of city driving and then its about 18 miles of highway at 70.

very true with the each your own. I loved my v6 camaro there is no doubt about that at all. I wanted more from my car and I couldn't do it for the money i spent to upgrade the car completely.

I agree with you completely. My v6 car felt kinda sluggish. You really had to zing the engine.

Yep that's pretty much what I decided. The dollar amount was right for me. the dealers around my town knew I was in the market for a new car. I had asked each of the three here to call me if they received a newer corvette or SS Camaro.

Yes you can add me to the convert list. I traded in my 2011 Camaro and picked up a 2011 m6 2SS/RS. Cost wise I spent less then Three thousand total for the swap. I don"t think I could have made any kind of horse power and toque gain for my dollar any better way.

I did buy a v6 Camaro for my first Chevrolet Camaro ever. I grew up with Pontiac cars. My first car was a 76 Formula Firebird, and many many others clear up to my current two. A 1971 Formula and 1973 trans am survivor. Being a v8 guy I should have known that buying a v6 car was not the brightest idea yeah i know..... I did drive the car for a daily driver and I enjoyed the fun factor and gas mileage for awhile. But like most I started to look for ways to make it faster, only realizing way to late that my v6 was not the ticket, everything cost wise is so darn much and you gained so little for your dollar.

I work across the street from a local dealer that just happened to call me about a car they just got in on this last Friday, the 31st. I went over checked the car out and took it for a spin. During the drive I had a friendly chat with the sales man and learned they were going to ask 32-35k for the car. I walked away from it. They called me an hour later to offer the car again for 26,300 and offered to pay full price for my v6 car. I couldn't pass up the offer.

For future reference to anyone reading this. If you can consider your car just a car that gets you from point A to point B, Buy the v6. If you are the guy or gal that likes to mod. buy the v8 hands down. Take my word for whatever its worth to you but I'm telling its way better then the v6 and I'm still getting 22 mpg with the car.

So here she is my new pride.
CONGRATS on the 2SS!

You're certainly going to enjoy it. Don't hesitate to contact us with any inquiries. We wish you all the best!

How to hug your camaro
Buy the car that you would most like to get beat in. The other guy will always be faster.

Yep, cuz that's what I consider my V6 as...just a simple transportation appliance.
