Sono ZL1,
That's really weird, they sent me one no problem !! If you really want one, I would call them back. |

Sono,
Like I said before, that is so weird...I mean really, all I did was call up, placed my order over the phone and in a few days, it showed up at my door step...That suck cuz , besides not being smog legal in cali, it is a great product !! |

Let's go with both answers.
Yes, it does and therefore is not smog legal in CA. or No, it does not and the manufacturer has done testing in order to get the part CARB approved as evidence of this. If the answer was YES, or the answer was NO but did not have CARB testing, then it won't be legal. Pretty simple ROTOFAB will still send you one (maybe depending on who you buy it from) but they may ask you to say it is not for street use. If you buy non-carb parts from certain websites and the shipping goes to CA, they will have you fill out an online form that you have to lie on in order for them to process the order. |

I just swapped my CAI out last week, back to stock for my first smog test. Took it out in an hour, and swapped it back in after the smog in about 15 minutes.
I bought another $10 PCV hose, so I didn't need to re-heat-wrap the extension hose that Cold Air Induction's kit uses. Having this small hose, in hand, also helped me figure out how to take the stock one off the engine. |
