Could my dealer be causing my allocation frustration??
So as I expected I went to my dealer and we viewed the May 2009 Final Allocation by week report. They STILL have 0 allocations for each of the 4 weeks listed. We did some locates of 2SS Camaros around a 500 mile radius and it seemed to us that there are dealers getting orders pulled and having cars produced at dealerships/towns the same size or even smaller than mine. Is it possible that my dealer isn't doing something right? I mean...I thought they just had to put in their orders and when GM decided they were worthy they'd get an allocation. If they don't get any allocations there really isn't anything for them to consense to, right?
It just seems pretty ridiculous with all the cars being made that it's going to be who knows how long after mid June til they are able to have their first R6P sold order get picked up....no matter what their size. He left another message with the Regional Sales Manager so hopefully she'll actually call him back this time and shed some light on the matter. Anyone else know of a dealer that hasn't got their 1st sold order pulled yet?

No pulled order here
I am #1 of 1 and sitting at 1100. In fact they are still awaiting the arrival of their V6 for the floor.

Are they on the closing list?
Sounds like it's time to find another dealer. |

Mine is on the safe list. According to the new thread. They are very difficult to deal with as well, so I have not contacted them

Wow...that is pretty bad :( My dealer at least got their V6 floor model in a timely manner. What is the size of the area they are located in?

Geographical Problem
If you haven't noticed yet, the east coast, southern parts (coast line through TX), and West coast areas get most of the "pulls". Us stuck in the middle are not a high priority.
If you don't believe me, as a knowledgeable dealer. They will tell you that the distribution is based on the geographical location in the US. Sure we have some cars in the mid-west through the western plains (CO, ID, etc.), but if you look at the proportions ... the majority of the orders being filled are based along the "coasts". |

They are about 30 miles west of Boise. The military is based there. Not real sure about the quantity of sales, but they did agree to sell at MSRP, which was a lot better than those here in Boise that were charging anywhere from $3000 to $3500 above.
So, I'll just be patient. Besides it gives me more time for my down. |

2ss/rs cgm ext/black int 6 speed ordered over 2 months ago. our dealer cannot give us an answer for a production or delivery date. 2weeks ago he told us the cgm ext/color would be the last ones produced due the limited amount ordered. they have had my deposit and it is beginning to feel like the truth is not being told.
anyone out there with any information? |

Ooops forgot to mention
That even though they are selling at MSRP, they required a $5000 deposit down to discourage from any false ordering. I'm okay with that since I will be putting half down on the car anyway.
