No, the hood stripes will look like those on the VR Camaro here http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11902 and the SIM car here http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11908

The rear deck stripes may or may not go over the spoiler as on the SIM car, Hylton is awaiting final word on that from GM.

^ disappointing. At least buyers can order the rally stripe package as an LPO and then get the dealer to install them over the spoiler.

This news has ruined my day. I'm at a total loss right now as to what to do. If it were a matter of installation difficulty like around the mailslot, I could understand, but there is no good reason for this decision except bad taste. Hylton, what makes you think there will be enough vinyl supplied for the dealer to be able to go over the spoiler?

Hmm, I'm thinking I may go for the blade spoiler after all and have so custom stripes put on. I was gonna go with the standard SS spoiler and factory stripes for convenience, but if they're not going over the spoiler...

First let me say that I appreciate the fact that people have their opinions and are passionate about the stripes. My problem is that I just can't understand why this is such a deal-breaker for everyone. Really no need to explain to me because I won't get it. I think the cars in Detroit and Montreal look great, especially the VR. I can't wait to get mine with the factory installed stripes. I am not sure why people can't be pleased with the package that GM has given us. It isn't SUPPOSED to be just like a 1969, or a 1974, etc. It is supposed to be a 2010, aware of its heritage, but reinventing itself.

Not a deal breaker just we have to make other arrangements. I'm pretty tolerant, the mail slot stripes I can understand, but the rear stripes is downright fugly

I made that assumption on the grounds that the Barrett-Jackson car is using the exact same stripe package as the Detroit and Montreal cars. If there is a lot of stripe underneath the spoiler, then there will be enough vinyl to lay it down the way you want.

In this picture, there is no way to tell how much striping is underneath the spoiler:

Yes, if it's the same package I suppose you're right. But then that also means that at no additional cost, they can still change them to the rear of the spoiler based on our poll here http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11857 which shows a nearly 90% favor of that.
Obviously there is still a lot of indecision on GM's part as to how the stripes should be done. First the bumblebee version, then within a few days of each other the NAIAS and B.J. versions. Why so many about-faces? Are they trying to confuse buyers? They sure are doing a good job of it. Wonder how they'll be done in Fedruary?
I personally don't understand stopping them in the middle of a surface, be it the front or rear of the spoiler. At least at the bottom of the rear of the spoiler there is a natural break between two body parts.
Sorry, I'm frustrated.

I like over the spoiler best but I'll take either one. I like both, just prefer over the spoiler.

I think GM has done an awesome job on the Camaro...only wish the "final" version of stuff would be brought forward to know exactly what we are getting!
