List of shops in the Detroit area

Hi all, I just bought my car 2 weeks ago 2010 2SS/RS so I'm still on the "honeymoon" haha. The car already has an AEM CAI and the GM performance parts axle back exhaust and tips. I have a Hurst short throw shifter on the way which I'll install myself. My question here is can any of you folks from the Detroit area (I'm west of Detroit) recommend a shop or shops that could install headers, high flow cats and do a tune. I would like to have all 3 items done by the same shop if possible in the spring. This will give me all winter to research tunes and exhaust systems. Thanks in advance folks.

Thanks for all of the recommendations folks, and it looks like Livernois is the place for me. Next spring can't come soon enough!! Now on to getting that short throw shifter installed next Saturday.

Welcome and come check out the club, we are having a Meeting this Friday you could come check out other member's cars, and maybe get some ideas for further winter / spring mods you could do yourself or at a shop.

I can help you with advise. I put my own headers and high flow cats and corsa exhaust. I also have the hurst short throw shifter. And a Ted Jannetty tune for a 100.00$. You can purchase a hand held tuner such as a SCT and do it yourself. You can get the hand held tuner used on camaro5. all the DIY are on this site pretty much. I install heads up displays if interested. This would be a good winter project if you don't drive your car year round.

or you could see us for this:

http://www.livernoismotorsports.com/...e-Package.html

and we install it with new gaskets, spark plugs, roto-fab cai, kooks headers, and catted pipes for the mail order parts/tune price you listed. Oh, and we dyno tune it afterwards as well

I would highly recommend Livernois. They did a bunch of work on my car. Before I took it to them I talked to just about every performance shop in the area (and there are several good ones). I chose Livernois and couldn't be happier with the decision. They are very knowledgeable and honest. Dan, Rick, Andy and the whole crew over there are good folks.

+1 for Livernois. They do great work.

You might also want to look at Walsh Motorsports in Wixom. My friend has his twin turbo kit installed and tuned by them and was very happy with the results. They are a bit more west than Livernois too.
