DRL/FOG LED Conversion / Black Emblems

Shout out to GEN5DIY for the hookup on my LED conversion and EmblemPros for my black emblems which look awesome.

The interior lighting and license plate LEDs look amazing and are bright. The license plate LED lights up the entire area very well.

The DRL light is a 11W and the Fog is 50W. I did install the DRL harness as well. Love the new look. The old yellow was fugly.

I haven't had a good chance to test it out at night but I will provide feed back later with night pictures. The DRL does seem a lot brighter than stock.

Very interested in your opinions of the LED conversion on your fog lamps and DRL. I am seriously considering doing this! Would actually love to use the 80 watt for the Fog lamps...

Here are more pictures taken early this morning to show the output.

I think the DRL are definitely MUCH brighter than stock and not to mention look so much better. The fogs don't seem to have much light output and I think it is mainly due to the housing because they are bright but I don't think its reflecting properly for LED. From past threads, I have read that there is some modification that needs to be done to the fog housing to get better light output.

The picture in the garage is with the DRL only. The pictures outside are with the DRL only, and Fog & DRL. You can see a slight diff when the fog lights are on. One picture is with the lights off completely so you can get an idea on brightness.

My opinion is if you are doing this for light output, changing the fogs to HID might be your best option. If your doing this for cosmetics, you cant beat the look of these and they do look AMAZING!

From a cosmetic standpoint, I love them. The light color matches perfectly to the HALOs and HID. I am not sure if going 80W on the fog will make much of a difference. I think the issue is mainly with the way the housing is built which doesn't allow of much of a reflection that is needed for the LEDs light output.

I would search, I read a few threads where they modified the inside of the housing and that help a lot. I personally don't care for the fogs so I will leave it as is.

Also talk to Offer @ GEN5DIY and see if he can assist if you do want better light output from the fog lights.

Thanks for the info... I would like more light from the fog lamps, but will probably switch the DRLs to the LED.

Looks great, BTW
