NightOwl Limited Return! NOT! :(

Never mind. This has fizzled out.

Quote:
If you are like us, you were saddened by the news of NightOwl going away. After a bit of work, we are proud to bring back at least two of the modules from the line. The Master and SL v3 modules will be available! We will also handle just the SL v3 circuit boards for anyone that needs to replace a bad one. Of course, we will also have the associated, plug-n-play harnesses.

As we're not sure just how many people are still interested, we'd like to start with a small group-buy. Once we hit five units confirmed for each module (Master and SL), we can get going! We will hold the old pricing for as long as we can.

Note that the group-buy spans beyond this community to increase our chances of bringing back this great product.

Master, $199
Current Count: 2

SL v3 Board Only, $129
SL v3 Interior, $149
SL v3 Exterior, $159
Current Count: 7

Let us know if you have any questions!

What does the kit come with? I wanted to buy the night owl kit before they went out of business. I didn't want to bake the head lights. Does your kit come with everything needed to have rgbw halos? No baking required? Thanks

Halos are RGB. Never looked into RGBW since there is such good color control. No-bake for 2010-2013.

I'm looking for rgb strip light control. Are you doing anything that will do control over 5050 RGB strips with zone control.
I have 5 "zones". (driver door, pass door, center console, trunk, engine bay)
I need something that allows for each zone to run independently or as groups.
(example: both doors doing a blue to yellow fade, center console doing a yellow to red fade, trunk to pulse blue, and engine bay to remain constant.) That would be one "scene". Also looking for the ability to set each zone to specific RGB value, and not just a color wheel. (example: Red = 24, Green = 72, Blue = 226)

Any of these functions coming to NightHawk?

Each SL v3 module supports four, RGBW channels, so you would need two.

All of that can be done via the app.

Well, we tried!

This endeavor has died. All communication with NightOwl has ceased for some reason, so we must move on.

We're reviewing available options now. Whatever we do will be backwards-compatible with existing systems so at least your LEDs can remain in place.

Interesting, I did not know they went out of business. I tried to use my Night Owl App today and it is clear of all my configurations. All 9 of the configs I stored are gone and I can no longer connect with the Master!

I updated my iPhone software to Version 11.0.3 a few weeks ago and this is the first time I've tried to use the Night Owl App.

I've had the Night Owl system installed since 6/29/13 and never had a problem with it. Oh well, I enjoyed it while it worked. I may consider taking the system off my car and seeing if someone might want to play with it.

I wish Joe the best and hope he gets some much needed rest.

For those that want greater control over LED systems. Look here:

http://www.ecolocityled.com/product/...d_light_dimmer

Create a private (or public, but why on earth would you want to do that) wifi net in the car, then use the 1channel dim controllers to control each zone (each door, interior, trunk, engine bay, etc) ll controlled and programmed with multiple "scenes" via an iPhone or Android app. And colours can be difined via color wheel or GB specific numbers (will do single color LED, RDB, or RGBW). More advanced, flexible, programmable and controllable than anything else I can find. Worth looking into if you are lighting obsessed.

Not a sponsor or anything for this product, just the best thing I have found that works.
