I guess no-one has found the wire anywhere near the footwell that controls the dome light?
I Just ordered the LEDs for the dome light, and footwell lighting from AAC. I too would like to wire them to go on/off with the dome light - in fact I will put a 3 way switch so i can switch on when i want them - anyway slight digression. I am also putting up the Escort detector - so i think i will run a hot wire from the dome light down to the footwell while I'm channeling the detector cords - hopefully through the headliner to the side posts then down. Anyone tell me which wire it is in the dome light i need to tap into before I get my meter out?

Thanks

Under the dash by the steering wheel you will see a block of wires. There is a grey block of wires, unplug that block and use a t splitter and splice your power wires to the grey wire and plug the block back in. Ground your ground wires and there you have it. They will work with your dome light. I just did mine about three weeks ago.

Holy cow, you brought up a thread is from 2009. My guess is the OP got this resolved, or at least I hope so
