You dont get more hp per pound of boost just because the blower is bigger only difference it the whipple has more room to grow and you have to pulley the whipple down so much for a stock bottom end that it doesnt spin its optimal speed as fast as a lower displacement one would.

A smaller displacement blower will always win a race vs a bigger displacement blower with the same mods and driver because it takes less to spin the smaller blower to its optimal range. Just my .02, I have a 2.3L e-force making 700 rwhp in my car. My engine isnt stock though.
Reason I'm looking at the whipple is because of the IAT.

I got it narrowed down to what models I want depending on which I choose. Obviously I'll have room to grow with the 2.9L whipple and it has everything that I am wanting out of a supercharger. Or I would
Go with the P1. Perfect for my stock motor.

Remember 'room to grow' is meaning a larger CI engine or beyond the limits of the stock engine. Not just more than stock boost.

I'm probably the first girl to say this but, smaller is better. At least when it comes to superchargers!

True but prochargers bracket/tensioner setup has never been that great. I doubt their 8-rib would hold a small pulley or high boost on the d1. The ECS kit has a much better tensioner and belt wrap setup than the procharger.

Has anyone made 760+rwhp on a stock procharger kit without belt issues?

I have a D1SC with the 8 rib 4.13 pulley with no slip. They also have a very nice 12 rib set up.

I'm sure it's been done, hell, there is a G8 running a P1 that got into the 600s.

Anyway, do you know the differences between the Procharger internals and Vortech internals?

Procharger has a bigger step up ratio so runs larger pulleys.

Manny, so how much boost and power does the 4.13 make? I've been fighting a d1sc procharger corvette for weeks trying to get a belt/pulley setup that will hold 10+psi. A 4.125" will hold 6-7psi but anything smaller and the belt slips like crazy. Replaced the belt, tensioners, and everything. I was just wondering if it would be wise for procharged camaros who want 10+psi to fork over the money for the 12 rib right away.

I know this isn't a PD blower, but I think I make decent torque down low with my Procharger setup.

My Ysi makes 400ft/lbs at 2k. More than enough to blow the tires off.

For big power and track use go procharger all day but for a every day street beast go with the whipple.

I feel vortech has the best cooling system for the money. Again, procharger was my first choice but I ended up with vortech. My IATs are 2 degrees above ambient when driving. Sitting in traffic, it gets maybe 15 degrees above.

Thanks to Jess at SuperchargeConnection I'm between the TVS2300 and P-1SC Procharger. Looks like it will be the Maggy

Figure I'll throw my dyno sheet in for some comparision to a PD blower. I'm making about 400ft/lbs at around 2.5k rpm. Enough to roast the tires.
