Probably, but then again so does all my other mods. Need a mod friendly dealership. It needs to be proven that the mod caused the issue.

Charity car show

Went to a car show yesterday and had alot of people asking about the TEAM LLT badges on the fenders. What they meant and where they came from. It was a great show and over 400 cars. They had to turn some cars away no more room. Could not stay to the end had to leave early it was our anniversary. We had dinner plans and then went to see the Adams Family Musical which was very good by the way.

Yes, I will be doing my own install. Any tips? Did you need the O2 extensions?
I spent a lot of time crawling under the car and back. If you had help it would save a lot of time. Took me 7 hours.

Hardest part is getting to the bolts. You'll need a swivel attachment for some of them and I found that my ratcheting box end wrenches were very handy because you can only get a small turn on most of the bolts.

Drivers side is easiest for sure so if you get a friend to help make sure to give him the passenger side!

I thought I'd have to pull the alternater at one point but didn't need to.

I put some beach towels under the car so the headers wouldn't get scratched.

It was ridiculously loud after the headers, I mean OBNOXIOUS!

I ended up adding a resonated X pipe to quiet it down. The X took away some of the power but the trade off was a necessary evil.

I didn't need o2 extensions, I just had to pull the wiring a little bit away from some of the anchor points and make sure that you point the sensors towards where they will need to be hooked up to when assembling them.

P.S. I assembled the entire header system and then bolted them on, no need to put it on in pieces, if you know what i mean.

P.P.S. I always add dielectric grease to any wiring connections that you have apart. This ensures that there will be no corrosion ever.

Short headers show gains of 7 - 9 HP and usaully will not throw a CEL.

Long headers show gains of 20 - 30 HP and usually will throw a CEL.

Thanks for the tips. These will come in handy. I plan to buy a few tools that I currently do not have to help make the job go easier. Along with I have a great FRIEND who will be giving me a hand.

Do you remember what size box end you used?

I have been trying to keep all my mods balanced as I perform them. A little of each in 3 areas. Performance, Cosmetics and Handling. So far so good.

I had heard both on the extensions. Some needing them some not. I will start off with not and try and work the wiring to get where it needs to be. Thanks.

Good idea on the install together. I will look to do that too. Thanks.

I agree on the dielectric. I will be doing the same.

Thanks again for taking the time and writing this all up.
