A lot of new cars don't even have the horrible DRL's anymore.

I hope they leave that off the new Camaro. Or, at the very least, make them something you can disable.

What's 'horrible' about DRLs?

T-Tops

I have yet to see a new Camaro with T-Tops.

I'd really like to get one with them. I don't want to get a convertible because I think they look like crap on the highway when the top is up and all bubbled out.

Welcome to the site!!
Unfortunately, you most likely won't be seeing a new Camaro with t-tops unless it's an aftermarket modification...The idea of t-tops have been addressed and unfortunately...they are a no go as of now. And if you don't want a vert...there have been pre-production Camaros spotted with sun/moonroofs. Granted, that's not the same as t-tops...but it still gives you an open-air feeling

I think all GM cars have DRLs and the only cars that don't are not from GM.
Do you know of a GM car without them?

AFAIK, they let you turn them off on GM vehicles, but the option to disable them resets when you shut off the engine. So you have to disable them each time you start up.

I doubt the roll cage is there to strengthen the car. But rather to protect the driver + passenger, just in case. They're not going to be going easy on that track, I'll bet.

The driver can't give feedback if he dies in a crash. And since they are testing, that means that the setup on the car is untested when they make those first runs. I wouldn't want to be in such a car at 150 mph at a track known to be extremely dangerous. At least not without a rollcage

because we love our engineers and test drivers -- remember -- we're testing to failure -- and then performing root-cause -- to bring you the best Camaro ever.

As you can probably imagine -- we test at very high speeds -- thus rollcage.....
