T2 Ports- Way too expensive for a piece of plastic

Is it just me or are these things HIGHLY over priced. It's essentially two pieces of plastic right? That probably costs at most $50 to make? We have to do all the work of cutting on the bumper and they get $450? I bought a full grill for less than that!?!? Just my opinion, but they are out of their mind!

Couldn't find the manufacturers link....this is not a rant on Phasetek.

R&D drives up the cost.

ACS makes high quality items. I choose not to carry them though...

Bought mine for $350 on sale at Viniati the month of april w. free ship. They are made of fiber glass and they come unpainted. :( Luckly I know a body shop guy (Friend of my parents) and primed, painted and installed for me for $200.

I love the T3 ports, and I was planning to get them, but went another route, as the whole set up with the chin splitter was way to much. I agree $425 for the ports alone is expensive, considering how many they have sold I would think they made back their R&D cost's who knows, I may still get them some day... who knows. THey do look great. Wish they looked more like the Zl1/Jay Leno cars.

let's make a cast, then make a mold from that cast, test it to see that it doesn't crack or break under normal/extreme driving conditions, also check that it doesn't do anything to the structural integrity of the bumper, etc etc

I have always thought the same thing . I'd buy a set if they were a few hundred cheaper. I'm sure someone will call me cheap but just think of how many people would buy them if they were say..$200 or even less ! Never happen but would be mice .
