Ran 4.10's last night - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

DA 2k and running Nittos, rest of mods in sig. Car ran a 12.3 @ 112 spinning off the line and through each gear. I could not hook all night, probably due to the shitty Nittos combined with the 4.10s. I actually got better 60' times with the stock Perelis. Ran the car the following night with a DA of 2k a full tank of gas an 100lb of sand in the trunk. Car hooked nice and stuck each gear, I managed an 11.98 @ 114. Ran three more times, spun the tires off the line and through second running a best of 12.6 @112. Unfortunately they were not printing slips so I can't prove it, but someone did take a vid of me fish tailing off the line, letting off, then smoking second when I ran the 12.6. The gears really make it difficult to hook, next mods good tires. The car traps right at 6200 in 4th wanting to shift into fifth right after the light.

Pretty awesome man. If you hook all the way you should be low 11s. What mods are you running?

So you have a tune, CAI, some different exhaust, slicks, and 4.10's, anything else ??

Did you try with the traction control on?

He has an auto so he was running a 3.27 before the 4.10 change.

I did for my last run. The first ten feet of the launch it pulled power, then it let go and smoked them into second.

ive got some mickey thompson 295 45 17 on some bogart wheels and they hook up pretty well

What 60' times are you pulling and what rpm are you launching at?

I'm running the 18" M & H drag radial and with 550 plus to the wheels I can cut a 1.60 60' without even trying. It shouldn't be a problem getting a low 1.5 with some more tries. The tires work well and with the Z06 wheels it's relatively inexpensive.
