with the whipple s/c you can be up in the 600rwhp with a good tune, that's what mine did no other mods, just a muffler delete, about 9-10 lbs boost. whats so grate about the whipple is that the discharge temps a really low thus you can play with the timing. and because its a bigger blower its pumping cooler air as well, there are some guys pushing 700wrhp with a cam, cai and headers, not that its recomended on a stock bottom end but you get the picture, Im sure you can get the whipple and 418 forged motor to push 800 rwhp on pump gas

Yah, Haddad said if I go forged bottom end it's useless unless were putting down 800 ponies. I just want to break 600 for now.

I haven't seen to many Camaros with turbos. I know ChvyBoss won a turbo kit at camaro fest. Well see what it's like when it's installed.

For me weight was a factor, it's a heavy car and IMO needs that low end torque to get it going. Heat was a factor as well, given my location I wanted an application that had better heat management than is typical of a turbo. I learned that with my last car. My car is a bit faster than several camaros I know that have more power then me. Their challenge is it takes them way to long to make their peak power. I hit mine damn quick. But you know what the say about opinions.

the most s/c are carb legal and you can pass smog, low end torq is what people want in these heavy cars, s/c give you the low end torq you need to putt a smile in your face at the touch of the throttle, turbos cool if you have a light car, there are really good turbo kits out there but most people like the practical use the s/c

I'm sure you can go over 600wrhp with simple bolt on's and a good tune, keep us posted, on your build and throw in some pics

I made 715 at 12psi...and 670ish at 9psi. Cant really compare the two as one was done in winter and the other during 95*+ weather.
