That drive is called a swerve drive. I doubt that it has a rack n pinion just like regular cars.
Swerve drives have modules. In that video, there are 6 modules, hence the six wheels. All wheels are synced with a chain/belt to make each module go 360 degrees. Some only moves 180 degrees, depends on who the engineer was and how he deaigned it. |
